Bruno Giberti, Ph.D.
Associate Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Planning
As the Associate Vice Provost, Bruno Giberti leads the office of Academic Programs and Planning, which is responsible for the annual process of academic planning, the development and implementation of academic policies, the development and review of academic programs, and the assessment of student learning. He oversees the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology and the Writing and Rhetoric Center, as well the General Education, University Honors, Instructionally Related Activities, and Service Learning Faculty Fellows programs.
As the Accreditation Liaison Officer, he manages the university’s regional accreditation and serves as the primary point of contact with the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). He has also played a leadership role in strategic planning for the university and the division of Academic Affairs, as well as Cal Poly’s response to the CSU’s Graduation Initiative 2025.
Prior to assuming the post of Associate Vice Provost, Bruno had a long history with this office. From 2007 – 2010, Bruno served as Faculty Director of Cal Poly’s self-study for WSCUC. With the university’s accreditation reaffirmed for ten years, he took positions as Director of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology and Associate Head of the Architecture Department. In 2012, he rejoined our staff as Faculty Associate for Academic Policies, Assessment, and Accreditation. He has been the Associate Vice Provost since 2017.
Bruno is a proud Cal Poly alumnus, and after graduating with a B.S. in Architecture, he was awarded a Master of Architecture and a Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.

Administrative Analyst — Academic Policies, Budget, and Instructionally Related Activities
Jessica joined our office in February 2008. She manages the budget, supports Instructionally Related Activities (IRAs), and is the contact for academic policy questions and student academic appeals.

Administrative Analyst — Personnel and Executive Assistant to the Associate Vice Provost
Maureen joined our office in January 2018. Maureen is the first point of contact for the Associate Vice Provost. In this capacity, she also assists with human resources and personnel issues in the departments reporting to Academic Programs and Planning. Maureen also provides the lead support as we begin the process to reaffirm Cal Poly's WASC Senior College and University Commission accreditation. In addition, she will be supporting various ongoing committees, including the Department Heads and Chairs Learning Community.

Amy Robbins, M.S.
Administrative Analyst — Program Development and Program Review
Amy joined our office in August 2016. She coordinates Academic Program Review for the campus as well as new program development and program modification. She supports our Associate Deans' Council, Data Champions, and various professional learning communities.

Shannon Sullivan-Danser, M.A.
Administrative Support Coordinator II — General Education & University Assessment
Shannon joined our staff in September 2018. She is a double alumnae from Cal Poly, where she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees with honors in literature. She coordinates the General Education program as well as university's core competency assessment projects. She also helps maintain the department's website.
