Incomplete (I) Grades and Agreements

As per Academic Senate Resolution AS-699-09 "Resolution on Incomplete 'I' Agreements" (approved 13 January 2010):

The Incomplete ("I") grade signifies that a portion of the required coursework has not been completed and evaluated in the prescribed time period due to fully justified reasons and there is still a possibility of the student earning credit.

Instructors shall be required to use the feature on the online grade or class roster to provide the conditions for removal of the Incomplete grade in writing for the student receiving the Incomplete grade to review and acknowledge.

As per Academic Senate Resolution AS-962-23 "Resolution on Change of I and RP Grades to Regular Grade for Senior Project Courses" (approved 28 July 2023):

The Office of the Registrar will process grade changes for I or RP grades assigned by the instructor to courses that meet the senior project requirement and approved by the department and/or an academic dean, without further investigation or documentation of extraordinary circumstances after the one-year time limit has expired.
