Assessment Resources

Listed below are several resources that can be used in the process of assessing student learning. This is not an exhaustive list and will evolve over time.

The American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) maintains the Valid Assessment of Learning in Undergraduate Education (VALUE) initiative, "an authentic approach to assessment designed to articulate and measure the skills, abilities and dispositions that students need and that policymakers and employers demand."  VALUE rubrics are open educational resources (OER) that enable educators to assess students’ original work reliably and verifiably across 16 sets of learning objectives.
